Pick up at your hotel in Saigon (former name of Ho Chi Minh city), you will start a “photo rally of Mekong Delta” in the morning. Driving in the city in the morning can take time but you will get so close look to the local life, your senses will be turned on to feel the life of a young, dynamic city as some said “Saigon traffic is Vietnamese life, a continuous charade of posturing, bluffing, fast moves, tenacity and surrenders”
Out of the city, you will drive on the Highway Trung Luong – it goes through rice fields and villages. Although the area you passing by is close to Saigon but people still live on farming, it seems like nothing really changed in their lifestyle.
Get to Ben Tre – the Coconut Land in the noon. Take a boat trip to the canals; you will be lost in water coconut forest. This is authentic Mekong Delta and relaxing after a long drive from Saigon. Visit some local workshops where they make local products to learn more about how the locals earn living. It is very interesting to watch the local men peeling coconuts by hand. On average, each man can finish 1400 up to 1800 coconuts per day.

Cruising deeper to the canal, you then go for a walk in small roads pass by lush garden. Visit a sleeping mat workshop to take the bikes or Xe Loi on village roads to local restaurant. Taste some local specialties like elephant ear fish (a must- try dish) it is not only tasty but the way they serve it very interesting to watch too.
Jump back on bicycle to visit home of an antique collector, mostly ceramic objects. Admire his amazing collection for years before continue cycling back to the dock
Or
Taking a rowing boat trip on tiny canals before getting back to the dock.
Meet your vehicle, drive back to Saigon in the afternoon. Tour ends at your hotel!
Driving distance: 170 km
Note: in case you do not want to ride bikes, the motor cart will be arranged to drive you on the village’s road.

Day 1: Saigon Jeep Tour to Ba Ria – Ho Tram (L, D)

Leave Saigon in the morning, your adventure starts by taking the route less traveled by any tourist bus. Escape the crowded city you will take a local ferry to cross Saigon River then drive through towns, villages to BaRia City. From here you will see the beautiful scenery with sided by rice fields and mountains. Keep driving on green road, the Jeep will take you to the sea then the rest of the drive to your resort you will travel along the coast.
Ho Tram is not too far from Saigon but it is still untouched by mass tourist wave. Check in and rest of the day is yours to discover the beauty of the beach and swim in blue water.
Driving distance: 120km. Overnight in Ho Tram.

Day 2: Ho Tram Jeep Tour To Ke Ga-Mui Ne (B, L)

Check out in the noon, the adventure continues. Drive on the long and winding road, less traffic, one side is mountain and the other is blue sea, it becomes even more exciting when you are on a military Jeep. The most exciting about taking a Jeep is nothing between you and the nature, let the sea wind blows on your face, your hair. The experience is inspiring and perhaps will make you feel free.
Not too long since you depart, you will pass by the sleeping towns which have long, beautiful beach and emerald sea. This area is also hometown of Dragon Fruit ( which belong to cactus family), you will see many dragon fruit farms and if you get there in season, you can stop at any farm to try this amazing fruit.
On the way, you can make some photo stops or just take a closer look to anything that amazes such as small beach where you find a local seafood processing workshop. The fishermen dry out several kinds of fishes, shrimp from the big to super tiny ones. It is interesting to see and a great opportunity for photo shootings of people at work with the back ground of blue sea dotted with color-block fishing boats. Far on the beach, there is a group short temporary shelter for fishermen. They seem living in a not very impressive condition but one thing that we might be jealous with them: Sea view.
Not too far away, you can see Ke Ga Lighthouse built in 1899 near dangerous reefs, this structure stands just off the beach on a small rocky promontory, you even can reach the lighthouse by foot at low tide. Photo of local typical round bamboo boats with Lighthouse as back ground is the highlight here.
Continue driving on the most beautiful coastal part of the trip and get to Phan Thiet, one final stop that you should make is at PoshanuTower on the way to Mui Ne. This is a complex consisting of the ruins of 3 Cham towers dated back from the 9th century. Apart from the amazing architecture, the hilltop site offers beautiful views of the EastSea and Phan Thiet harbor especially at sunset.
Arrive in Nui Ne – the heaven for beach lovers, check in your resort. It is time to say goodbye to your tour guide and driver, enjoy your vacation there. Wish you had a good time. Overnight in Mui Ne.
